Though it was a huge hit for Stevie Wonder, copies of this single in near mint condition are very hard to find... so I'm glad to be putting this one in the store. "Superstition" is the tune that launched Wonder's "post-Motown" career, in which he had total creative control. It also is the biggest hit of his entire — very long — career. After this single was a hit, Wonder was rarely out of the Top 10 for the rest of the decade and well into the next. This 45 release, by the way, has an edited version of the album cut — 3:59 vs. 4:26, so this is the version that was a hit on the radio, not the album cut! Note: This beautiful copy, which has black label type instead of brown, has pristine Mint labels (see scan). The A side audio is nearly pristine except for one or two spots near the beginning where surface noise can be heard, as the vinyl grades EX reflecting some light scuffs.
