This single's B side is the original version of the song that became the biggest dance craze of the early 1960's. The Chubby Checker version is almost a note-for-note copy. Ballard's version was a minor hit in the Black/RnB market, and I hope he made some serious money from royalties as the song's author. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage King Records factory sleeve. It has Near Mint labels. The vinyl has one notable scuff, but grades Near Mint in appearance overall. The audio is a mixed bag. The audio on "Teardrops" has some surface noise that lowers its grade below Near Mint, but fans of "The Twist" will be delighted to hear that the vinyl's surface noise is minimal, and the sound is clean and clear, grading Near Mint.
