Here's a very nice copy of this early Stones single, on the first-pressing, purple and white label. The B side is an iconic cover of the Muddy Waters classic, a perfect example of the peculiar mix of British pop sensibilities and American Rhythm & Blues that fueled the British Invasion, launching scores of new bands on both sides of the Atlantic. Bands like the Stones fully absorbed black American music in their early years, and this infusion helped sculpt the sound that became uniquely theirs. Interestingly, the A side is specially edited from a 4:06 album track. Note: This copy has strong-EX labels with a touch of ringwear, and strong-EX vinyl, reflecting some scuffing. Fortunately, the grooves preserve beautiful, undistorted, Near Mint audio.
