Just a year before launching the Twist craze, Chubby Checker had his first chart single with this great double-sided dancer. "Schooldays" was originally slated as the plug side, but Checker's wonderful imitations of Fats Domino, The Coasters, Elvis, Cozy Cole, and more drew attention to the flip. (We list the biggest hit as the "A" side, regardless of which side was originally intended.) This release uses a rare block lettering for the label name (first pressing?); the more common release is on the usual "script" style label name. Note: The labels and vinyl grade very close to Mint — the record looks almost new! — and the audio itself is brilliant, strong and flawless.
