The House of the Rising Sun/ Talkin' Bout You

This is a beautiful specimen of the classic Animals single, featuring the great picture sleeve that came with it. This original release has a dramatically shorter version than the album cut, which clocks in at about 4 1/2 minutes. To keep the single under the magic 3-minute limit, the company edited out most of the instrumental middle and faded out the ending. The end result? 2:58. This is the version fans heard in 1964, which became a #1 hit for the group. But to modern ears accustomed to the long version, it's a bit shocking to hear. And don't forget what a great B side this one has! Note: The labels grade Near Mint but have a faint name inked against the black background (hard to see). The vinyl and audio grade Near Mint as well. The picture sleeve is gorgeous.
