From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. This single from 1973 was Bang's last 45 culled from Diamond's 1967 classic LP
Just For You, produced by Jeff Barry & Ellie Greenwich. Some of the tunes, like the A side here, were released multiple times on different singles. "The Long Way Home" first appeared on the B side of "Thank The Lord For The Nighttime." When they were done, according to Joel Whitburn's terrific
Top Pop Singles book, Bang had issued all of these songs from that inaugural Neil Diamond LP on 45:\r\n
- Solitary Man (twice)
- Cherry, Cherry
- You Got To Me
- Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon
- Thank The Lord For The Night Time
- The Long Way Home (twice)
- Red Red Wine
- Shilo
- I'm A Believer
\r\nBy the way, that's a terrific version of "Monday, Monday" by Diamond on the flip... also from the Greenwich-Barry days.
