This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the

collection. I couldn't find hard evidence, but given the release year (1962) and the sequential matrix numbers, I suspect the A side of this release was "The Slow Twist." However, "When" is also very popular among Soul/RnB collectors. They're both fine, uptempo dancers. As far as I can determine, this Jimmy Anthony had only two 45 releases (and no LPs). Note: Louise Neal's collection has four copies of this promo. This is the nicest copy, grading very close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). (Other copies have a slight "bowl" warp and more storage wear on the labels; I'll be entering these copies at another time.) FYI, the tiny black line near the top of the label (see scan) is a manufacturing defect that appears on all copies of this promo, but only on the "When" side.
