Trojan Horse

Okay, this is one surprising record. Starting out with bagpipes to a sort of Eurodisco beat, it morphs into a kind of very tuneful Abba thing, filled with instrumental and melodic hooks that just won't quit. To quote a description of this Netherlands group, which was wildly popular there in the 1970's, from Musical Taste, "Luv' (the apostrophe is not a typo ...) combine drums, bagpipes, cliche and corn in one bejewelled package. They have made many great records but [Trojan Horse] is their majesty, their Great Gatsby."\r\n
