White Christmas/ The Bells of St. Mary's

This is an original 1954 promo copy from the Louise Neal collection, in its original Atlantic Records factory sleeve. This classic Christmas single, here credited to "The Drifters featuring Clyde McPhatter and Bill Pinckney," was released by Atlantic many times over the decades, starting with this 1954 release. This is the super-rare promo release from 1054 with the "holly leaves" on the right side and the label's text in red. (The retail 1954 release was on the yellow/black Atlantic label.) (Both Rockin' Records and 45cat.com show this promo as a 1954 release; Goldmine suggests it is a 1960s pressing, but that is incorrect given the conflicting information and now, the presence of this copy in the Louise Neal collection, still in its early-mid-1950s Atlantic sleeve.) Note: This copy looks new and unplayed, but may have been lightly played at some point; certainly, it was well cared for over the years! The labels have no notable flaws, grading Mint. The vinyl grades Near Mint to reflect a few faint hints of storage wear, but is very close to Mint. The audio grades Near Mint to reflect very light native surface noise and a very occasional light "pop."
