White Christmas/ The Bells of St. Mary's

This classic Christmas single was first issued in 1954 on Atlantic's yellow/black label, when it hit #2 on the Bilozoard R&B singles chart. This is the second issue, from December 1956, on the red/black Atlantic label. The single has been periodically reissued since then. (The 1956 release has no "fan" logo on the left-hand side of the label, distinguishing it from later releases.) This beautiful copy has simply gorgeous, pristine Mint sound... the best I've yet heard from one of these 1950s pressings. Note: This 45 record comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve. It has Near Mint label with just a whisper of ringwear (see scan). The audio, as noted, is as close to perfect as you're likely to hear.
