Who knew Nilsson had such a powerful tenor? (Was it real, or was it Memorex?) I"ll never forget how impressed I was on hearing this nearly perfect slice of ballad-style Power Pop. The song was written, incidentally, by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of Badfinger, who were having their own self-penned hits around that time with classics like "No Matter What," "Day After Day" and "Baby Blue." Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage RCA Victor Records factory sleeve. It grades Near Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). The sound has a touch of light surface noise audible early in the very soft part of the track.
