You Can't Sit Down/ Wildwood Days

The Dovells had two smash, neo-Doo-Wop hits in the early 1960s -- this one, and "Bristol Stomp" from 1961. Both tunes are on the want list of every rock'n'roll fan who digs songs from the 1961-63 resurgence of Doo-Wop, and even some Northern Soul fans seek this one out for its sheer danceability. Sadly, despite their popularity, neither song is available on reissue, and it's not easy to find copies in this condition. Speaking of which, this looks like a brand new copy, with Mint labels and pristine sound. This single was released with three different B sides. The most common B side is "Stompin' Everywhere," which is worth a bit less than this one. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a nearly flawless copy of the single's dramatic picture sleeve -- a real treat!
