Ain't That Bad/ Progress

This is a new, unplayed stock copy from the Louise Neal collection. This is a terrific uptempo, guitar-led groove with an almost-rap vocal going on. Not lyrics, though, so much as meaningful syllables. Label includes vocal credit to "Winfield." Northern Soul fans may prefer the B side instrumental, which is also worth seeking out. This is the rare first pressing on the small Philadelphia label Pee Vee; the tunes are more commonly seen on the subsequent (1964) release on Symbol Records (Symbol 202). Note: The A label has two "x"s on it; the labels are otherwise pristine. The vinyl is spotless and new-looking, but has a slight warp. Fortunately, the warp has no effect on the audio, which is powerful and Mint.
