This is a new, unplayed stock copy from the
Louise Neal 45 Collection. The A side is an epic, mid-tempo Northern Soul number worthy of its awesome name. Note: Although definitely new and unplayed (Louise Neal never saw this 45, as she had moved to New York some time in 1966 or early 1967.), this 45 must have lost its original sleeve at some point, as reflected in the light storage wear that in appearance is Near Mint. The labels are very close to Mint (see scan). The audio should be Mint, and early on I thought it was heading in that direction, as the sound is clear, undistorted and virtually noise-free, but at some point past the middle of the track there must be a handful of tiny scratches that each cause a light "pop" for a few spins; this lasts for half a minute or so I would estimate, before the audio returns to its underlying pristine condition; overall, I'm grading the audio Near Mint. It's just disappointing, but that's what happens when 45s get stored for a period of time outside their protective sleeve. :_)
