Baby Huey & The Baby Sitters was an American soul and R&B band active during the late 1960s and early 1970s. They were fronted by James Ramey, better known as "Baby Huey," whose distinctive soulful voice and towering physical presence were defining characteristics. Baby Huey's unique blend of psychedelic soul was influential, particularly evident in their signature song, "Hard Times," which has been widely sampled in modern hip-hop. Despite releasing only one album, "The Baby Huey Story: The Living Legend," before Ramey's untimely death in 1970, the band's innovative sound continues to resonate with modern audiences.
