Bataan, also known as Joe Bataan, is an American musician of Filipino and African-American descent, notable for his contribution to the Latin soul and salsa music genres. Bataan's notable works include the 1967 album "Gypsy Woman" and the 1979 hit song "Rap-O Clap-O", which was one of the early successful crossover rap songs. Bataan's music remains influential, contributing significantly to the development and popularization of Latin soul and salsa music.
