Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes are American singers known for their distinctive soulful and pop-inflected vocal styles. They gained international fame in the 1980s after collaborating on "The Time of My Life", a soundtrack for the movie "Dirty Dancing", which won the 1988 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and an Academy Award for Best Original Song. While Medley, as a member of The Righteous Brothers, is known for pioneering "blue-eyed soul", Warnes has gained acclaim for her folk and pop interpretations. Their collaboration remains a high point in both of their careers.
