Billy Butler

Billy Butler was an American soul jazz guitarist and composer, active from the 1950s to the 1980s. He was known for his rhythmic, blues-based style, and his intricate contributions to the "Chicago sound" of the 1960s. Butler collaborated with many significant artists, including brother and saxophonist Jerry Butler, and organist Bill Doggett, contributing to the hit "Honky Tonk". His influence can be seen in the fusion of R&B and jazz styles that characterized his work.
