Black & Blue is an American hard rock band that originated in Portland, Oregon in the early 1980s. Characterized by their blend of glam metal and hard rock, the band's distinctive sound is largely attributed to lead vocalist Jaime St. James and guitarist Tommy Thayer, who later joined KISS. They are best known for their hit singles "Hold On to 18" and "Miss Mystery" from their influential albums "Black 'n Blue" (1984) and "Nasty Nasty" (1986).
