Boots Brown and his Blockbusters was a pseudonym used by the American jazz and pop composer and arranger, Ernie Freeman, for some of his works in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Their music, characterized by energetic R&B instrumentals, blended elements of jazz, pop, and rhythm and blues. The band was renowned for their hit singles such as "Cerveza" and "Doodle Bug", which resonated within the dance music scene. Despite the band's brief existence, their distinctive sound and Freeman's accomplished musicianship left a lasting imprint on the genre of R&B instrumental music.
