The Brides of Funkenstein are an American funk and R&B group, best known for their association with George Clinton and the Parliament-Funkadelic collective. The group, primarily composed of vocalists Dawn Silva and Lynn Mabry, was created and produced by Clinton in the late 1970s, and their debut album, "Funk Or Walk", reached gold status. Their music, characterized by its blend of funk rhythms, soulful vocals, and psychedelic influences, played a significant role in the development of the P-Funk sound. Despite disbanding in the early 1980s, the Brides of Funkenstein's contributions to the genre continue to be recognized in the music industry.
