Bruce Johnston is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer best known as a member of the Beach Boys. He joined the band in 1965, replacing Glenn Campbell, and contributed significantly to their distinctive harmonic sound. In addition to his work with the Beach Boys, Johnston is also renowned for writing the Grammy-winning song "I Write the Songs," famously performed by Barry Manilow.
