Carl McVoy was an American musician known for his rockabilly and country style, with a career that spanned from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. McVoy was a significant figure in the development of rock and roll, being one of the first pianists to blend boogie-woogie with country and western styles. He worked extensively with his cousin, rock and roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis, and was a key member of the Sun Records house band. His most noteworthy work is probably "Tootsie," a single that showcased his distinctive piano-driven sound.
