Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen was an American country rock band formed in 1967. The group was known for their eclectic style, which combined elements of country music, rock and roll, western swing, and rockabilly. Led by keyboardist George Frayne, who adopted the alias Commander Cody, the band gained significant recognition for their 1972 hit, "Hot Rod Lincoln". Their unique blend of styles and humorous, often satirical lyrics contributed to the development of the outlaw country and roots rock genres.
