Connee Boswell

Connee Boswell was an influential American jazz singer active in the 1920s through the 1940s. Known for her unique, melancholy vocal style, she was a significant figure in the development of both jazz and pop music. As a member of the Boswell Sisters, she popularized complex vocal harmonies and rhythmic experimentation. Despite physical disability, Boswell had a successful solo career, with her signature song "The Object of My Affection" becoming a major hit in 1935.
