David & David was an American rock duo composed of David Baerwald and David Ricketts. The pair rose to prominence in the mid-1980s with their distinctive blend of rock, folk, and pop, characterized by thoughtful lyrics and atmospheric production. Their only album, "Boomtown" (1986), is considered a significant work in the new wave genre and produced several successful singles including "Welcome to the Boomtown."
