Del and The Escorts were an early 1960s British beat group. Notably, the band featured Del Spence as the lead singer, whose soulful voice was a defining feature of their sound. They were known for their energetic performances and for their cover of "Baby, I'm Over You", which was a moderate hit in the Liverpool music scene. Although their broader influence on music history was limited due to their brief existence, Del and The Escorts were a part of the Merseybeat movement that also produced The Beatles.
