Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes were an American disco band from the mid-1970s, led by flamboyant, theatrical frontman Sir Monti Rock III, a former hairdresser turned singer. The band was known for their high-energy performances, campy style, and mixture of funk, soul, and disco. Their signature hit, "Get Dancin'", reached number 10 on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1975, becoming an emblem of the disco era. Despite their brief time on the music scene, Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes had a lasting impact on the development of disco culture and music.
