Don and Dewey

Don and Dewey were an American rock and roll duo, composed of Don "Sugarcane" Harris and Dewey Terry. Active from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s, their style blended rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and soul, characterized by energetic performances and harmonious vocals. Although their own records didn't achieve significant commercial success, they wrote songs that became hits for other artists, including "I'm Leaving It Up to You," made famous by Dale and Grace. Harris's violin playing, a rare element in rock music, also proved influential in later years.
