Doug Clifford is an American drummer, best known for his work as a founding member of the rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). His solid, straightforward drumming style, heavily influenced by the rock and roll and swamp rock genres, characterized the band's distinctive sound. Clifford's significant contributions to CCR, including the creation of some of the most recognizable drum patterns in classic rock, helped the band attain notable success in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
