Earl Nelson

Earl Nelson was an American soul singer who made significant contributions to the R&B genre during the 1960s. He was one half of the duo Bob & Earl, best known for their hit single "Harlem Shuffle," which was later covered by the Rolling Stones. Nelson's smooth, emotive vocals, paired with the innovative arrangements of songwriter and producer Barry White, helped shape the sound of West Coast R&B. Despite his relatively brief recording career, Nelson's distinctive voice and musical style have had a lasting influence on the soul and R&B genres.
