Earth Quake was a power pop band from San Francisco, active from 1966 to 1981. Known for their high-energy rock and roll style, the band consisted of John Doukas (lead vocals), Robbie Dunbar (guitar, piano, vocals), Stan Miller (bass, vocals), and Steve Nelson (percussion, vocals). Despite not achieving wide commercial success, Earth Quake's influence is notable in the power pop genre; their work on the 1976 album "8.5" is often cited as a key reference in the field. Dunbar’s songwriting and the band’s tight musicianship were distinctive elements of their sound.
