Eddie & The De-Havelons were a Jamaican rocksteady and reggae band from the mid-1960s. Led by Eddie "Tan Tan" Thornton, a trumpet player known for his work with The Skatalites and other influential ska groups, their sound was a fusion of soulful harmonies and rhythmic reggae beats. The band's most notable track, "Xmas Tree", released in 1967, is significant for its early use of the rocksteady style, which later evolved into reggae. Despite their limited discography, Eddie & The De-Havelons contributed to the development of Jamaican music genres.
