Emerson, Lake and Powell, often abbreviated as ELP, was a British progressive rock band formed in 1985. Comprised of Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, and Cozy Powell, the band was known for their complex compositions and fusion of classical and rock elements. Their self-titled album, "Emerson, Lake & Powell", which included the UK Top 40 hit "Touch and Go", is considered their most influential work. Despite their brief existence, ELP’s innovative approach to music left a significant impact on the progressive rock genre.
