Exuma, whose real name was Macfarlane Gregory Anthony Mackey, was a Bahamian musician, artist, and playwright known for his unique fusion of folk, calypso, and spiritual music styles. Born in the Bahamas in 1942, Exuma's distinctive sound, characterized by haunting vocals and indigenous Bahamian rhythms, brought international attention to the rich musical traditions of his homeland.
