Family Brown was a Canadian country music band active from 1967 to 1990. Consisting of "Papa" Joe Brown, his children Barry, Lawanda, and Tracey, along with Dave Dennison, the group was known for its distinctive blend of country and pop. Their signature sound was characterized by harmonious vocals and a modern country style. Family Brown achieved significant success in their career, with over 20 singles reaching the top of the RPM Country Tracks chart in Canada, including the influential hit "Pioneers," which earned them the Juno Award for Country Group or Duo of the year in 1982.
