Flash and the Pan was an Australian rock band active from 1976 to 1992. The band was formed by Harry Vanda and George Young, both former members of The Easybeats, one of Australia's most successful bands of the 1960s. Characterized by their new wave and synth-pop style, Flash and the Pan became known for their distinctive sound, which often featured spoken word verses and pop choruses. Their most influential works include "Hey, St. Peter" and "Down Among the Dead Men", both of which achieved considerable chart success.
