Freddie Gorman was an American musician, singer, and songwriter, best known for his association with Motown Records. His style was largely influenced by the R&B and soul genres. Gorman, one of the original members of the Motown group The Originals, co-wrote the iconic song "Please Mr. Postman" which became a significant hit for The Marvelettes and later The Beatles.
