Gamma was a notable American band established in 1979 by guitarist Ronnie Montrose, a key figure in the hard rock genre. The band was known for their fusion of hard rock with elements of progressive and electronic music, making use of synthesizers which was innovative for their era. Gamma released four albums, with their debut, Gamma 1, gaining significant attention. Although the band's tenure was relatively short-lived, disbanding in 1983, they left a significant impact on the rock music of the late 20th century.
