Gang of Four was an influential British post-punk band formed in 1976. The original line-up included vocalist Jon King, guitarist Andy Gill, bassist Dave Allen, and drummer Hugo Burnham. They were known for their fusion of punk with funk and dub, characterized by Gill's jagged guitar style and politically charged lyrics. Their debut album "Entertainment!" (1979) had a significant impact on indie rock and is considered a touchstone of post-punk and alternative rock genres.
