Gay Poppers

The Gay Poppers were an American doo-wop and rhythm and blues vocal group active during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Although not as widely recognized as some of their contemporaries, they were known for their harmonious style and soulful delivery, contributing to the evolution of rhythm and blues into soul music. Their most notable track, "I Want to Know," released under the Savoy label, showcases their signature sound. Despite their relatively short lifespan in the music industry, the Gay Poppers made a modest impact in the progression of American rhythm and blues.
