George Duke was an American keyboard pioneer, composer, singer and producer in both jazz and popular mainstream musical genres. He worked with numerous artists as arranger, music director, writer and co-writer, record producer and as a professor of music. Notable for his solo work in both jazz and R&B genres, Duke's sound incorporated elements of funk, soul, fusion, and Brazilian music. His seminal albums, such as "The Aura Will Prevail" and "Brazilian Love Affair," have had a significant impact on the jazz fusion genre.
