Hamilton Camp

Hamilton Camp was an English-born American folk singer, actor, and songwriter, known for his distinctive, high tenor voice and intricate guitar work. Active from the 1960s, he achieved prominence as part of the folk duo Gibson & Camp, whose live album, "At the Gate of Horn", is considered a seminal work in the folk revival movement. Camp's solo music often featured complex arrangements and socially conscious lyrics, reflecting influences from folk, blues, and psychedelic music. He also contributed to the folk scene as a songwriter, with his song “Pride of Man” being covered by numerous artists.
