Hipsway is a Scottish pop and rock band formed in Glasgow in 1984. The band is notably composed of ex-Altered Images guitarist Johnny McElhone and frontman Grahame Skinner. Their music style is characterized by a blend of pop, blue-eyed soul, and funk. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1986, included their biggest hit, "The Honeythief", which reached the top 20 in the UK and the top 20 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, solidifying their impact in the pop-rock scene of the 80s.
