Inner Life

Inner Life was an influential American R&B and dance music band that was active during the late 70s and early 80s. The band was distinguished by the powerful vocals of Jocelyn Brown, a figure who later achieved solo success, and the innovative production work of Patrick Adams and Greg Carmichael. Inner Life's fusion of soul, disco, and early electronic music, notably heard in their acclaimed cover of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", significantly contributed to the development of dance music. Despite their limited discography, their pioneering sound left an indelible mark on the club music scene.
