You Don't Have To Say You Love Me/ It Takes Two

The A side is a terrific soul-group cover of the Dusty Springfield classic from 1966, and it actually garnered them a hit on Black radio. What's really surprising to me is the terrific uptempo track "It Takes Two" on the B side. How did this tune escape the attention of all the deejays back in 1968? To me, it's got "hit" written all over it, from the song itself to the terrific vocal arrangement and rhythm section. Oh well, it's hardly the only great recording to escape notice in the musically rich 1960's. Note: This is the first issue of this Sport single, which later appeared shown as distributed by Amy/Mala.
