I'm A Believer/ (I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone

Very nice copy of the Monkees' second hit single, this one a two-sided monster. In addition to another Tommy Boyce-Bobby Hart song (on the B side), the Monkees for the first time tap Neil Diamond for the chart-topping A side. Diamond had recently had his first top 10 hit ("Cherry, Cherry"), and I'm sure he was delighted to have this huge Monkees hit in his catalog. "I'm A Believer" became the biggest hit of the group's career, hogging the #1 spot on Bilozoard's Hot 100 chart for seven weeks! Note: The picture sleeve has some writing in the upper left-hand corner of the sleeve's back; the front of the sleeve (see scan) is Near Mint. The record itself grades Near Mint, with a small stamp on the A side label worth noting. The audio is close to Mint.
