Originally released on RCA 13260. This is a new version of the song Parton wrote and originally recorded in 1974... the new version was featured in the movie "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas". Incidentally, the 1974 version was also a #1 Country hit, and both versions were country hits long before Whitney Houston showed the good taste to record the song in 1992, thereby finally bringing its charms to the pop and soul masses. Inspired by this revival, Dolly teamed up with Vince Gill to record the tune again in 1995! This is a new copy of the RCA Gold Standard reissue, in its original factory sleeve.
