As did some of the group's followup records. And here, I've thought of it as a bubblegum hit all this time. :-) (As I've noted before, there is a definite connection between bubblegum and soul... this is one of the tracks that demonstrates it. "Build Me Up Buttercup" by the Foundations is another.)
