More Today Than Yesterday/ Broken-Hearted Man

Northern Soul? Yes, apparently a pioneer British DJ "had the nerve to play it", as Kev Roberts puts it, in a Northern Soul club, and it proceeded to be a smash Northern Soul hit. As did some of the group's followup records. And here, I've thought of it as a bubblegum hit all this time. :-) (As I've noted before, there is a definite connection between bubblegum and soul... this is one of the tracks that demonstrates it. "Build Me Up Buttercup" by the Foundations is another.) By the way, both of these tracks are slightly edited from longer (3:11, 3:02) album versions. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Columbia Records factory sleeve. It has Near Mint labels, and the vinyl (styrene) looks Near Mint as well, with just a few light scuffs. The audio sounds close to Mint as well.
